SACT is. . .

At Students Against Child Trafficking (SACT) International, our mission is to prevent child trafficking and exploitation by empowering young people through peer-to-peer education and social-emotional learning. We are a Christ-centered organization dedicated to creating a safer world for all children.

Our Mission

SACT'S mission is to empower students through peer-to-peer communications to detect, defend, and disrupt predators in their own environment by raising awareness, preventing victimization, and reducing the demand.

Our Vision

Imagine a world without child trafficking or exploitation. SACT envisions a future where children can grow up in a safe, supportive environment, free from the horrors of trafficking and exploitation.

Our Approach

  • We believe that the key to prevention lies in education and empowerment.

  • Our approach is simple and transparent when communicated from student to student. We leverage educational tools to equip our youth with the skills to Detect, Defend, and Disrupt against trafficking and exploitation.

  • By providing students with the necessary knowledge and resources, we empower them to become their own advocates and protectors in their communities.

Our Core Values

Detect: SACT is the leading authority in developing research and evidence-based materials to train students, employees, and caregivers to detect how predators work and find solutions to stop them.

Defend: SACT helps organizations by giving them the necessary tools and education to unite and defend against predators. Empowering children to defend themselves by recognizing and validating the causes and solutions.

Disrupt: The key to disrupting child sex trafficking is to stop the demand by all the elements that create it. SACT accomplishes this through certified courses and published curriculum in the public sector and biblically-based training for churches.

Statement of Faith

As a nonprofit organization, the work we do and that we were called to do, we as the Members of the SACT Board of Directors hereby stand by our “Statement of Faith”. Each one of our Board Members volunteered their time and their passion for SACT and stand firm against the headwinds of this evil that is “over there, when in fact right in our own backyard.

  1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired and the only infallible, authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).

  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).

  3. We believe in:

    • the full deity and full humanity of Christ (John 1:1–14; Hebrews 1:3–5, 2:5–18),

    • His virgin birth (Luke 1:26–38),

    • His sinless life (2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15),

    • His miracles (John 10:31–38),

    • His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood (Matthew 26:28; 1 Peter 2:24),

    • His bodily resurrection (John 20:1–31; Acts 1:1–3; 1 Corinthians 15:1–8),

    • His ascension to the right Hand of the Father (Acts 1:4–11),

    • His present rule as Head of the Church (Ephesians 1:22, 5:23; Colossians 1:18), and

    • His personal return in power and glory (Revelation 19:11–16; 22:7–21).

  4. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (2 Corinthians 3:17–18).

  5. We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of all who are separated from God by sin and rebellion (John 14:15–21; Romans 8:1–11; 1 Corinthians 12:3).

  6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are lost unto damnation (Matthew 25:41–46), and they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life (Matthew 25:31–40; 1 Corinthians 15:42–57).

  7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across races, genders, and classes (Colossians 3:11).

Biblical practices

We, SACT, as a body of Board Members, operate according to biblical truths and practices including teaching and affirming doctrine, by word and deed, consistent with the Bible.

We know that through our research and our faith what we present and represent in honesty, truthfulness, openness, and responsiveness are only a few of the characteristics common to the spirit of trust that must exist between SACT and our donors.  As the organization presents itself to other Christians and to the non-Christian world, integrity should preclude any misinterpretation of the member’s motives.

Our education and training must serve all people and we stress the importance of evidence-based research including scripture.  Scripture is also very clear about the evil in this world and our teachings to be open, honest, and above reproach as we wrestle with the issues of life before Christ’s return. One of our examples is in James 1: 21-22, ”Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.“

Blessings,

Denny Winkelman, President &

Vice Chair Board of Directors

“I was told that I couldn’t do anything about child trafficking because of my age even though it affected my community... until I found PACT.  I started a PACT Student Ambassador Chapter at my middle school and then at high school. So, today regardless of your age, you can start a PACT Student Ambassador Chapter and make a difference.”
